We all pine for the future.
More specifically: we pine for things found in Back to the Future.
The hoverboard, obviously. Self-lacing shoes. The machine that automatically creates any kind of food you can imagine (we are getting closer to this with 3D-printed food, but most of the crap those machines turn out tastes like dirty shoes). Video calling (We already have this and I hate it).
And obviously, a time machine in the form of a old, piece of crap car that will allow us to go back and forward in time, taking our trusty sports almanac with us. You just KNOW the degenerate inside of each of us would make the sports book our first stop in any situation where we get our hands on a time machine. No ifs, ands or buts about it; I'd be fixin' to get rich as all hell.
The time machine will probably never happen (finger crossed), but flying cars? Yeah, that's a thing we can see happening in our lifetime. At least, we hope so. Especially if they're anything like this video of the Terrafugia TF-X concept. Can you imagine sitting back and checking your Twitter (or whatever eventually replaces Twitter) while this bad boy swoops you to work in the air like some kind of ultra-modern George Jetson?
