Outrun Zombies With This Walking Dead Motorcycle

By any measure, AMC's The Walking Dead is a monstrous success story. A television show focused on life after a zombie apocalypse that's actually centered on the characters who are still alive and the relationships they develop doesn't sound like a winning formula, but it is one of television's most popular shows.

Or so we're told. The truth is that we don't watch The Walking Dead. We tried, but got scared after just a few episodes. Seriously. When we told you yesterday that the iOS game Five Nights at Freddy's was too scary for us to play, we weren't kidding.

But if you're a fan of the show, and there's a pretty good chance that most of you reading this are, then you'll recognize this sweet motorcycle from the show. It's the bike Daryl Dixon rides, and it's awesome because it looks like an old and terrible bike had a baby with a motorcycle from the future, and this is the result.

Imagine rolling up to a casino on this bad boy? You'd be the talk of the town, no matter the town.

It's built by a company called Classified Moto, an outfit in Richmond that builds "experimental bikes." It was based on a Honda CB750, but Classified immediately took off most of those parts and replaced them with parts from a Yamaha YZF. Why? We don't know. But the end result is a motorcycle that looks as though it was lovingly crafted on the run by a man trying to escape a horde of zombies. It also has a mount on the back for a crossbow, because that's an important tool when dealing with zombie hordes.

These things (there are two of them involved in filming) aren't for sale yet, but you just know they're going to show up on Craigslist or something when the Walking Dead concludes. And when they do, you need to be ready: ready for the zombies, of course, but also ready to be the poker player with the coolest ride in the room.

What do you think?
