Stand out from the crowd with the Leica M-P 240 Safari Edition

We have to admit, we are pretty good iPhone photographers. We work on the lighting for our food pictures, and our dog always looks cute in the photos we post on Instagram. We aren't saying we are the best iPhone photographers in the entire world, but it might be close.

But there are times when you have to kick your photography up a few notches. If you're traveling and playing in poker games around the world, there's a good chance you're doing some sightseeing. You don't want to be the one taking photos of Stonehenge with an iPhone, do you? Do you?

You don't. Which is why you need an upgrade. And if you're looking for a serious camera upgrade, well, Leica has you covered.

Leica makes beautiful cameras that take gorgeous photos, and the cameras double as works of art. They are wonderfully retro from a design perspective, looking like something out of the 1960's.

The same philosophy applies to the new M-P 240 Safari Edition. This Leica features a Leica Summicron-M 35mm/f2 lens with a metal hood, a carrying strap made of 100% cowhide and a matching carrying case for your SD cards. On the inside, you have a 24 megapixel CMOS sensor, also made by Leica. And the camera will also take 1080p video, though we don't understand why you'd want to use such a divine camera to shoot video. But that's your decision, of course.

This beauty does a lot of things from a photography perspective, and it looks good while doing it. If you want to stand out in a crowd of tourists, there's no better way to do so than buying a Leica, especially a Leica painted a sublime shade of olive green.

There are only 1,500 of the Safari Edition units available worldwide, and they'll set you back $10,000.
